Ikeaspiration

I have been dreaming way too much recently of a PAX unit that would cost somewhere in the ballpark of $1,200. While my low willpower likely means I will eventually cave, I decided to take a break and drool over some awesome modifications of the cute (and cost efficient) Expedit units instead...

This is the awesome desk add-on you can buy for the Expedit unit. Love how organized it looks, combined with a fresh & fun fuchsia desk chair. Ikea's glossy white finish kills me every time.

Expedit as an open dining assortment. I might just have to do this myself.

The hanging wine rack sealed the deal for me. Except I'd be hanging my zebra margarita glasses, rawr!

Expedit 4x4 used as a shoe display. Hubba. If I had enough space I'd do this with my immensely beloved Marc Jacobs collection. Except I'd need more than a 4x4.... awkward.

Enjoy! Outfit post(s) soon. Trying to bring my blog back to the 300-400ish views it was getting a day!
Also: when you Google "thrifted", thrifted karma shows up in the top 8 suggestions on the first page:

I am in love with you, my readers!!!!!!! Thanks for making this happen ♥
Working on a new shopping site - much like the Thrifted Karma Boutique, but bigger & better.

'twas trillig

In honor of one of my all-time favorite books (and films: the Disney version),
here are some delightfully Wonderland pieces of art.

In case you are confused about the title, it is from one of my favorite poems from the original work by Lewis Carroll, if you have never read it you are missing out!

Alice in Wonderland fashion editorial shoot by Annie Leibovitz,
with model Natalia Vodianova for Vogue US December 2003:
{ I have made them all clickable because of how fantastic they are, they should be shared }

My personal favorite, obviously because Marc Jacobs is in it! ♥

...and the magnificent Karl Lagerfeld

The most amazing looking cupcakes, à la Alice in Wonderland.

Alice in Wonderland inspired stacking teacup vases. Love them.

Sorry for all my absence. Will try to get my blog back to 100+ views per day, but balancing two jobs and school is hectic. Love you all, have a new project to announce soon!

Slither into sexy

I've been extremely absent lately. I'm sorry.
But in my absence, I have been obsessing over python.
Sexy exotic snake prints {no disgusting reptiles harmed in the making}
have been commuting in hordes to my dear closet.
Two sexy Marc Jacobs items seen above {#1 and #4} have already slithered into my possession,
and I think the Michael Kors loafers {#8} are soon to follow.
I made this lovely collage to culminate all drool-worthy cobra-inspired finds,
even giving two options for: shoe style, ring style, and iPhone cases. How generous of me!
Just don't wear them all at once.

Nailspiration

I know I haven't posted in an unspeakable amount of time {I know, I'm sorry} but expect a post in the next few days, a collab coming up soon, and more!

However, I recently got back into fun nail designs, and thought I'd share some fun drool-worthy ideas.

Perhaps my absolute favorite. Hubba-worthy.

My six-year-old, Care Bears obsessed self just died of envy!

And... in case it couldn't get any better... nails inspired by the design of my absolute favorite perfume, Marc Jacobs: Daisy. Wow. So absolutely breathtaking!

Classic Swedish white

I went on a spree searching up Swedish apartments and white decor, and came across too many drool-worthy photos! Here are some of my favorites... all found on random google images queries!
The circular bed is so very Ikea and the zebra accent is so very me.

I've always had a passion for exposed radiators, light colored wood floors, and white walls (I guess that explains my choice of apartment as well!). This bedroom is dreamy, and the damask interior of the light fixture is so clever and chic.

I am extremely charmed by the panelled doors and the chandelier.

Don't these photos just make you want to clean incessantly and subsequently move to Sweden?
Or is it just me?

Holiday party look

If I had a glamorous Christmas party to attend (I wish), this would be my formal dress combination ♥
Dress: BCBGMAXAZRIA, Shoes: Betsey Johnson

Sorry for the lack of posts --- final exam season & work have been interfering!
But, come the New Year, I'm going to go back to spamming you all with fashion porn!!

Leopard lust

Ah, Monday.
Here's something to make your day a little less dull...

1 - Fedora: Albertus Swanepoel™ for J.Crew, $178.
2 - Fuzzy leopard beret: Forever 21 (XXI).
3 - Lace-up leopard booties: Deena + Ozzy.
4 - Leopard fedora: XXI.
5 - Leopard dress: XXI.
6 - Leopard Mary Janes: XXI.
7 - Leopard boots: XXI.
8 - Leopard laptop sleeve: Marc by Marc Jacobs.
9 - 'Wauwi' Slide; Steven by Steve Madden.

I can't tell if I have really outdone myself this time,
or if it's only so drool-worthy because of all the leopard print ♥
I already own two of these (you guess!) and am lusting after the rest...

Min lilla flicka

I've spent the last month or so scavenging kijiji, shelters, and breeders websites looking for the purr-fect kitten. I finally found pictures of a newborn litter from a breeder an hour outside of my city, and immediately booked an appointment to come meet them - I thought the idea of picking one from just a photo to be quite morbid, you really have to meet one to fall in love.

So I panicked on the drive over, worrying about how I could be so shallow as to just "pick" one; yet, to my surprise (and relief), she picked me.

Lilla is the curious baby girl on the right.
Baby Lilla cuddling me.
The face of an angel.
It's hard to tell by the photo, but this is how she won me --- dug her claws into my scarf & sweater, gazed up at me with those adoring big blue eyes, and would NOT let go! When I tried to put her down she looked right up at me and let out the saddest little meow. I knew she was mine.
Spent a whole day baby-proofing my apartment and buying everything she could ever need. I've bought even more since this picture was taken. The pink and B&W scratching post with the toy on top is probably my favorite!

So that is my baby ♥
I named her "Lilla" which means "little" in Swedish.
She is a lilac point Himalayan / Ragdoll X, born October 5th.
I get to take her home on December 1st and could not be more anxious!
And, yes, I already got Lilla her own mini Christmas stocking.
She is going to be the most spoiled kitten ever.
